COPIAH COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER

Center Administrator
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or a mental health related field or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in administration. The Center Administrator will serve as the administrative supervisor of all clinical staff in their respective area of Region 8. Duties include coordinating all activities of the respective centers. And provide day to day administrative supervision of all staff assigned including clerical staff.

 ICORT Registered Nurse
Candidates must possess a Board License as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi. Duties will include crisis assessment and intervention and provide medication education as directed by a licensed Physician.

ICORT Mental Health Therapist
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Psychology or a mental health related field.  Duties will include conducting intake evaluations, immediate emergency crisis intervention services, counseling sessions, ensuring the proper routing of services for the benefit of the consumers.  The ICORT Mental Health Therapist provides direct services to individuals and participates in the center programs such as staff meetings and treatment planning.

ICORT Peer Support Specialist
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Mississippi Driver’s License.  The ICORT Peer Support Specialist will provide face to face interventions to consumers.  Coordinate with the treatment team to provide opportunities for consumers to direct their own recovery process and provide resources to help achieve their goals and participate in monthly meetings.

Mental Health Therapist

House Manager
Full time and Part time, night and weekend shifts

Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED.  Previous experience working with individuals in treatment for substance related disorders is preferred. Duties will include assisting the residential treatment center Coordinator in coordination of care, facility management, meal preparation, and other duties necessary to maintain a healthy therapeutic, environment for staff and clients alike.  Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to follow and give direction are required.

 

MADISON COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER 

Mental Health Therapist/ Behavioral Specialist

Vocational Training Instructor
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Mississippi Driver’s License. Duties will include the operation of a 15-passenger van to transport individuals to and from the facilities. The VTI participates in daily activities with individuals and transports according to routes and time schedules.

Part Time Children’s PRT
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Mississippi Driver’s License.  Duties will include but are not limited to the operation of a 15-passenger van to transport the children from the Children’s Day Treatment facility.  The Children’s PRT assists the Behavioral Specialist with the daily classroom activities and transport according to routes and time schedules.

 

RANKIN COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER 

Crisis Intervention/Prevention Specialist
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Psychology or a mental health related field. Must obtain residence within 30 minutes of Rankin County.  Duties will include providing immediate emergency crisis intervention services including written assessments.  Provide 24-7 telephone access to county for behavioral health crises and provide face to face services as needed during and outside of normal office hours. Management of the clients’ medical records including, but not limited to, completion of all clinical documentation in a timely manner and the development and updating of Individual Service Plans.  Providing consultation and education crisis services to the community as needed.  Participate in clinical staff meetings, general staff meetings and in-service training.

Billing Department Specialist
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or HS Diploma or GED, 1-2+ years related experience in healthcare claims and/or equivalent combination of education and experience and 1-2+years of experience with appeals and denials.  And a valid Mississippi Driver’s License. Primary duties include resolve, call and/or appeal a defined number of accounts per day as instructed by leadership. Complete initial reviews as assigned. Draft appeals and letters to insurance companies. Make proper notations in system on all accounts. Understand and utilize payer contracts and provider manuals when disputing denials. Calculate expected claim reimbursement. Follow up on all appeals, claims, letters or other documentation with the insurer.  Follow up on all payments at the time an overturn is received.  Demonstrate an understanding of office workflow by completing necessary required fields correctly. Use available resources appropriately, including but not limited to training materials, shared drive, team meeting notes, etc. Maintain worklist through daily audits and the open task report. Ensure that all assigned cases have a follow up and that there are no duplicate follow ups. Address all follow ups promptly according to priorities provided by leadership Ensure claim and appeal timeframes are met. Obtain prior approval from a Lead, Supervisor, or Manager for all modifications to a UB-04; including, but not limited to, additions, changes or removals to/from the original claim provided by the facility. Follow all HIPAA guidelines in accordance with Employee Handbook.

School-Based Registered Nurses
Candidates must possess a Board License as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi.  Candidates will work directly with Region 8 clients and students in the Rankin County School District.  Duties include, but may not be limited to, medication monitoring and administration, general nursing services, mental health screenings, assessments and referrals.  Region 8 is offering this position as either a 10-month position that works during the school year or a 12-month position.

RANKIN COUNTY CRISIS STABILIZATION UNIT

Crisis Stabilization Unit Director
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in a mental health related field.  The primary duties of this position are to oversee the daily operations of the CSU and to provide direct therapeutic support to consumers as needed.  Schedule staff to ensure adequate personal coverage and all services are in accordance with Region 8 policy and DMH Operational Standards. Prepare and submit monthly tracking reports as directed by Supervisors. Participate in monthly management team meetings as requested by your Supervisor. This position is responsible for coordinating all activities of the CSU and the day-to-day supervision of all CSU staff.

Housekeeper/Cook
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or a GED.  And a valid Mississippi Driver’s License.  Duties will include performing housekeeping including maintaining a cleaning schedule for the facility and ensures adequate inventory of cleaning supplies is maintained.  Food preparation and meal planning and assist in purchasing food items.  And all other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Crisis Residential Therapist
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in psychology or a mental health related field.  Duties will include overseeing the daily therapeutic activities of the program and provide direct therapeutic support to consumers. The Crisis Residential Therapist will provide all initial individual therapy sessions to all individuals within the first 72 hours of admission. Prepare and submit monthly tracking reports as directed by supervisor.

 

LINCOLN COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER

Substance Abuse Residential Counselor
Full time Therapist position
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a mental health related field.  Duties will include implementing the daily activities of the program, including intake evaluations, group therapy sessions, individual counseling sessions, discharge planning and treatment planning.  Candidates must possess knowledge and skill in applying therapeutic treatment models to treat an individual’s substance abuse issues and be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and individuals experiencing chemical dependency.  The Substance Abuse Residential Counselor will be under the supervision of the A&D Inpatient Services Coordinator and work closely together with the coordinator in all aspects of treatment planning.
