COPIAH COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER

 Mental Health Therapist
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Psychology or mental health related field. Duties will include conducting intake evaluations, counseling sessions, ensuring the proper routing of services for the benefit of consumers. The Mental Health Therapist provides direct services to individuals and participates in the center programs such as staff meetings and treatment planning.

Community Support Specialist
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or mental health related field. Duties will include obtaining pertinent data of consumers to determine service needed and to make adequate referral and to insure services are provided. The Community Support Specialist provides direct services to individuals and participates in the center programs such as staff meetings.

MADISON COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER

Mental Health Therapist
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Psychology or mental health related field. Duties will include conducting intake evaluations, counseling sessions, ensuring the proper routing of services for the benefit of consumers. The Mental Health Therapist provides direct services to individuals and participates in the center programs such as staff meetings and treatment planning.

 

RANKIN COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER 

Full Time and Contractual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and licensed to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Mississippi. Candidates must have a valid drivers license and use of an automobile for travel within the catchment area. Candidates must pass a criminal background investigation.
Primary responsibilities include conducting individual assessments, medication evaluation, and emergency services, formulate long-range treatment and individual care plans to any individual receiving services in the Region 8 Mental Health’s catchment area.

Mental Health Therapist/ Behavioral Specialist

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Psychology or mental health related field. Duties will include participating in a psychosocial day treatment program  The Mental Health Therapist/Behavioral Specialist provides direct services to individuals enrolled in the day treatment program model, participates in the center programs such as staff meetings and treatment planning.

Community Support Specialist
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or mental health related field. Duties will include obtaining pertinent data of consumers to determine service needed and to make adequate referral and to insure services are provided. The Community Support Specialist provides direct services to individuals and participates in the center programs such as staff meetings.

Substance Abuse Outreach/Aftercare Counselor
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Psychology or mental health related field.  Duties will include providing education and prevention programs on substance abuse to the community.  Provide intake counseling in the Residential Treatment Center, conduct aftercare treatment planning and follow-up and provide direct services to idividuals.

 

LINCOLN COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Technician

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Mississippi Driver’s License. Duties will include the operation of a van to transport individuals to and from the Adult PSR program. The Adult PRT  participates in daily activities with individuals and transports according to routes and time schedules.

LINCOLN COUNTY BROOKHAVEN CRISIS STABILIZATION UNIT

Registered Nurse
Candidates must possess a Board Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi.  Duties will include assisting Psychiatrist and Physician in medical evaluation’s, provide medication education and monitoring of physical problems for consumers and any other medical services as directed by a licensed Physician.

Full Time/ContractualCrisis Technician II
Candidates must posses High School Diploma.  Duties include assisting consumers in all areas of physical care and assisting with daily program activities, general housekeeping assignments and food preparation and service. And all other duties assigned by Supervisor.

SIMPSON COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER

Community Support Specialist
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or mental health related field. Duties will include obtaining pertinent data of consumers to determine service needed and to make adequate referral and to insure services are provided. The Community Support Specialist provides direct services to individuals and participates in the center programs such as staff meetings.

House Manager
Candidates must possess a High School diploma plus previous experience working with individuals in treatment for substance related disorders. Duties will include assisting the residential treatment center director during an 8 hour period to maintain satisfactory working relationships with staff and individuals participating in services. Candidates must be able to pass medical physical.
